The Act bans the importation, manufacturing, sale, use or distribution of styrofoam and plastic food service containers detailed in the Schedule (cup, plate, tray, hinged take-away container, bowl, disposable beverage cup lid, bowl lid, fork, spoon, knife, straw, and egg carton). The Minister may, by order published in the Gazette, amend the Schedule. 

The Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards shall issue standards for environmentally sustainable food service containers.
