The Freedom of Information Act makes provisions for the disclosure of information held by public bodies or by persons providing services for them for connected purposes in Saint Kitts and Nevis.

This Act provides for the effective management and control of disasters and related or incidental matters in Saint Kitts and Nevis.

The Constitution of Saint Kitts and Nevis ensures access to information and participation within the framework of the freedoms of expression, peaceful assembly and association. It also provides constitutional guarantees in case the aforementioned rights are infringed.
